10 volunteer technical assistant positions

are being offered to students of the Bachelor’s and Master’s Programs, for assistance at the

35th Annual Alcohol Epidemiology Symposium of the Kettil Bruun Society, June 1-5, 2009


Organisers of the 35th Kettil Bruun Society Conference are offering technical assistant positions for 10 students in exchange for free registration at the conference, June 1-5, 2009 at CSS.

These positions will run from 1-5 June 2009 (with one half-day in week 22) and are structured so that students volunteer at the conference in part-time shifts, allowing them to attend as many sessions of the conference as possible.


Job description:
Students will be asked to be responsible for the following duties:
• Oversee IT equipment in lecture rooms, ensure its smooth functioning
• Collect PPT presentations from presenters before sessions in collaboration with chairs of session and download them to PC’s
• Provide technical help with PC’s for participants during sessions
• Provide technical help in conference pc room
• Help participants and organisers with organisational problems
• Assemble conference bags, make and post direction signs for the conference

Requirements:
Active use of written and spoken English is necessary. Knowledge of and proficiency with electronic equipment and software, especially Power Point is required. Flexibility in scheduling work hours is also desirable.
